Review on πŸ”Œ Optimized Electric Welding Systems for Professionals by Travis Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple and very useful tool. Ideal for DIY projects. Very important.

I bought this for a 28 gauge galvanized steel duct project. The perfect app for this tool. A typical weld takes less than 1 second and is very strong. Also repaired a few spatulas. Although spot welders are not made for aluminum, with luck and practice you can spot weld thin aluminum sheets. I have successfully made a drip pan for one of our cast iron skillets and was able to spot weld an aluminum ring. The trick is to turn the switch on and off as quickly as possible, in 1/4 second. A little more and you'll melt a hole in aluminum. Another way to weld aluminum is to sandwich it between two thin sheets of stainless steel. The 120 volt version of this welder is powerful enough for whatever I'm about to weld. You probably too. With 240 volts I would limit myself to a place in the garage, but with normal household voltage you have a portable system for every place.
