I would not recommend this item as it looks like it has a plastic coating on the inside. I tried cleaning it but it looked like the acrylic was cracking. A cloudy film formed inside and I definitely didn't feel comfortable drinking from this container after a week. I only drank water, so nothing hot. Maybe the ice was too cold but I have no idea why that happened.
