Review on πŸƒ Quick-Dry Tacky Glue - Aleene's 17843, 8oz by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not quite sticky, not quite sticky.

Let me upfront by saying I'm not a crafter or scrapbooker but I have glued fabrics and tried to avoid the fumes of my regular 3M spray adhesive but for me it has not met expectations. From now on I will wear a mask and walk the spray track. In my life, the combination of spray glue, hot glue, acid-free tape, and plain old Elmers has served almost every use case I've had. I thought it would be something completely different and maybe a game changer. Unfortunately it isn't. Even if I was scrapbooking I would still use acid free ribbon. When I think of stickiness, I think of something more viscous, stickier, globular. It's pretty fluid and not far from Elmers. I think if you put the compositions side by side they won't differ much. When I think of glue I think of better quality, crisper drying and a non-yellowing bond than what came out. As this ages or is exposed to the sun it will likely be more muted than my results. So when I combine stickiness and glue in my mind and look at it, it seems to me that I was wrong. honestly a bit surprised by the average rating for this product. *raises eyebrows*.
