Review on ๐ŸŒฟ FZONE 2.5L Aquarium CO2 Generator System: Complete Kit with Regulator and Needle Valve for Thriving Aquarium Plants by Cassandra Parkins

Best cheap "professional " CO2 kit for plastic bottles

I'm so glad I found this CO2 kit! I'm new to using the CO2 system and all the parts you need got me confused to try and buy something piece by piece. It has ALMOST everything you need to get started. I knew I had to have it on the timer along with my light, and the description says I would have to buy it separately (and it wasn't expensive - especially compared to companies that cater to the world of aquariums and professional CO2 -kits employ, oops). , Solenoid and even suggested what to look for. Very easy to assemble! In my opinion, the label instructions need to be reprinted to indicate the correct amount of citric acid/sodium bicarbonate (equal servings, btw). This is NOT clear at all. I suspect there might be kits that actually already have chemicals in them. This one does NOT. But don't worry, things can also be bought cheaply. Oh, and if you don't have a gram scale, get one of these. Overall it would be 5 stars except the gauge is stuck at 50psi. My CO2 gas was empty and needed replacing and I figured I would have to wait for that pressure to zero after the residual gas was depressurized. Never done. I went ahead and opened it. No problem as my gas ran out after opening the valve to drain whatever was left. Didn't fall down even after opening. Remixed the two chemicals, added water and reattached the pressure gauge (๐Ÿ˜„). Everything works fine except for one sensor. I'm not worried as there is a pressure relief valve if the pressure ever gets too high etc. I'm hooked on my planted tank and know I will have more tanks in the future. This is a much cheaper way of using CO2 than buying a refillable tank and going to the sporting goods store to refill it!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say
