I saw video the other day of your better equipped car thieves stealing new cars and that includes picking up a signal running 24 hours a day, 7th June Days a day is broadcast from your key fob with the receiver and forward it to someone else with the transmitter to unlock and start your car. Impressive technology but not so impressive when your car gets stolen. Anyway, I put the keys in the box and tried to get into the locked car. Passive locks could not be opened. After opening the box, the doors were unlocked. An attempt to start the car with the box closed failed. The display indicated that the key fob was missing. Fully closed, this Faraday cage disguised as a pretty box blocks the key fob's signal transmission really well. Auto theft isn't a problem in my area, but it has happened. I can sleep easy knowing I'm not making life easy for the bad guys. In full disclosure the seller offered me a $10 gift card for a 5 star rating but honestly I would still give it 5 stars. . This box works as advertised, is affordable, attractive and doesn't look out of place on my counter.
