I spent a lot of time browsing and comparing two harnesses here at Revain and finally narrowed them down to three based on length, load capacity and whether a) there were hooks and b) the hook was a snap hook . The three I've narrowed the list down to all had these features. But one thing that sets this strap apart from the other two is how the hooks attach to the strap itself. On this strap you can see that the hooks are attached to the triangular rings and the rings are attached to the strap. . This spreads the stress across the full width of the belt, which is said to make it more durable. On most other belts, the hooks connect directly to the belt, requiring the belt to be folded, and all of the load on the hook is transferred to a much smaller area of the belt, making it more likely to break. I'm not saying other top notch harnesses are bad, but I think that feature alone makes this harness the best of the best, at least what Revain offers.
