Review on Mobil 1 M1C-453 Extended Performance Oil Filter (Pack of 2) for Superior Engine Protection by Troy Palmer

GENERAL The Mobile 1 oil filters are great filters - I have used them on all our cars for a very long time. I've been using M1C-453 since 2008 and they are good filters too. These particular filters sold here are defective by the manufacturer. The two filters sold as a set BOTH had EXCESSIVE adhesive that prevents the end caps on the filter element from leaking out the end and detaching from the filter. .This is the SECOND time I have received a defective filter set. The ones I ordered in January 2013 had the same problem PLUS one of the filters had a defective filter element. There are manufacturer defects that cannot be attributed to the delivery. I called the Mobile One Filter technical center to let them know about the problem. Would you put a filter on your engine that could put a drop of glue in the engine and pay $20 for it?
