This is a quality instrument. I've never experienced a thermal shutdown like some have complained, but I use it in my home business and not in a production environment. I have used this for cutting, sanding and polishing and enjoy it. Tightening the wave took a few minutes to figure out. I like the rotating guard, although it takes practice to get the spot right. My only concern is that the handle is often difficult to turn, especially when wearing gloves. I might be doing something wrong, but it seems to require more muscle than skill.
