These curtains are everything I'd hoped. They aren't completely sheer, but they still let plenty of light into the room. Their embroidery is lovely. They are perfect straight out of the package--no steaming required, unlike most of the packaged drapery panels I've bought in the past. I'm removing one star because there was a very large, very much alive beetle-type thing in the package. (Google images suggests it's a stinkbug indigenous to Asia, a species accidentally introduced to the U.S. about 20 years ago.) I didn't see it clinging to the fabric until I was hanging the curtains, and it gave me such a fright that I nearly fell off the ladder! Maybe something like this happening is unavoidable in a factory setting, but given that these bugs lay zillions of eggs and can infest a home very quickly (never sleeping again, thanks, Google!), I think this is serious and worth mentioning to other prospective buyers.
