I've recently returned to film photography. I bought some 30 year old Minolta AF A-mount lenses for my old Minolta SLR. I used some nice, high quality Minolta lenses. The natural step was to use them on my Sony A6500. This adapter is exactly what I needed for it. He has a screwdriver so he can autofocus Minolta lenses. As far as I know, LA-EA3 doesn't do that. I tested it with my Minolta AF 85mm lens and compared it with my Sony 85mm lens. Of course with a Minolta lens there is more chasing (trying to get focus) and less AF points with this adapter and matched lenses. Aside from those minor issues, which I think are to be expected, this adapter is a great addition to my camera. This allows me to use a lot of old inexpensive lenses to take great photos. I'm glad I chose it.
