kind of works. for potty training

my partner has a 2 year old girl who is starting potty training. We didn't need any of those practice pots that needed to be emptied, so we decided to give this a try. The potty ladder seems sturdy enough for the job, but it's a bit short for our toilets. I don't have measurements but they look like standard toilets with flush buttons on top of the cistern. Because it is a bit short, the step is placed so close to the toilet that there is no room to climb. The shell appears to be protruding, blocking most of the step. When I pull the legs of the stairs forward to give the steps more space, they lose contact with the ground. So in the end I still have to be there to take her to the toilet and help her off, defeating half the purpose of the potty ladder. The good thing is that the seat piece really helps give her something to sit on. without feeling like she's going to fall. It also folds as advertised and can be easily moved out of the way. For these two points I award three stars. I already have a small stool that she can use to go to the sink and wash her hands, so I tend to teach her how to climb on it. sit on the potty and just sit backwards on it (to avoid falling off until she's grown). This is how our parents taught us how to use the potty, it's easier and cheaper. We'll see how it goes. lol
