I bought this set and another set for my daughter. She just had her ears pierced and her ears keep closing so I bought some screwback choices so she can have something more fun and I could use a few. The other 18g I bought her went in with ease after we ran a standard earring through first. Since I bought extra I went to try these and they would not go through my ear. My ears have been pierced since I was 7 and I just wore earrings two days ago. But I could not get the earring through. To double check I asked my teenager to try on her ears, which have been pierced for 5 years, and she could not get the earring through either. They look lovely and seem good but I wanted to add this review as I await my refund because I did not see any reviews referencing this. My daughter was pierced with a 22 gauge. My teens and I with older piercings can get most through including other earrings logged as 18g but these felt like it was re-piercing the back.
