Works on my '96 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 v8 5.0

I think this fixed the cold start problem on my '96 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 v8 5.0. I looked through a list of cold start problems on my Chevy 1500 and I'm pretty sure this was the case. I know there haven't been any problems since replacing the part. I think it wasn't so much the sensor that was bad as the gasket on that sensor that was missing. I've changed this sensor on my truck before and the cheap seal on the sensor broke and couldn't be used. The seal on this one was just as poorly constructed as the one I'd replaced. I was just careful installing the sensor and trying not to break the seal. So far this has solved the problem. I went through a whole list of repairs for the fuel pressure regulator, fuel spider, fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor and this camshaft position sensor. I can tell you that I've run out of things to change.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Nothing
