Review on ๐Ÿงต Frank A. Edmunds Stitcher's Wonder! Adjustable Craft Stand: Enhance Your Craftwork with the Split Rail Scroll Frame, 6115 by Karla Richter

Poor fabric handle

I was hoping to use this for regular embroidery rather than cross stitch. The assembly is ok, but there are no precise instructions for inserting the fabric. The pins above and below have a connector, the so-called split frame. You tuck the ends of the fabric into the slits and then roll them up, which doesn't work well with thinner fabrics as they tend to slip out. I had to find a way to hold the fabric in place so there would be enough tension... The way the parts that hold the dowels are constructed makes it more likely that after a little use they will break or if you overtighten them... Another issue I've encountered with this seating position is that the frame weighs enough to destabilize the stand and topple the entire rig. A little more weight on the bottom would have helped... Overall it works, but it's not the best device. One thing I like is that the stand is very adjustable. It seems the frame can easily be replaced with something better - it's held on by just 2 screws. I'll probably try that next time.
