I haven't cut it yet but I just programmed it myself and it was very easy! I have a 2000 Jetta VR6 and to program it (I learned it from the car's owner's manual) you just turn the car on (don't leave the engine running), roll down the window and lock the car from the outside with the key, then press the lock. or unlock the key fob you want to program, wait a few seconds and press one of those buttons again (at this point my car made a small beep like I was locking the car), then turn off the car and pull the key off the key. Door. That's all :) Sooooo much cheaper than buying from a dealer and programming there! I'll have a locksmith cut it.
