Amazing monitor! The price for the performance is simply unrealistic! The 180Hz screen refresh rate for the time I bought this monitor ($279) was just insanely good. Screen tearing was annoying at times and blurring my line of sight in FPS games and I couldn't find any information on whether a monitor with a high refresh rate would eliminate the tearing experience people had with vsync off and without gsync/freesync so they could achieve it their maximum response to inputs in competitive gaming situations. Well I have good news! This monitor allows you to play games without VSYNC/GSYNC/FREESYNC while eliminating virtually 99% of all screen tearing caused by the lack of Vsync due to the raw processing power the monitor refreshes (180Hz)! The monitor processes it fairly quickly. to almost completely eliminate it (any screen tearing you see, if you see it at all, is virtually non-existent!) So yes, a high refresh rate monitor is essential for those who want sharpness, no screen tearing and the benefit of want low latency input. while you can see your goals as clear as day. If you want a perfect picture with a very low input lag, you can also use G-Sync or Freesync on this monitor if you want! (With this powerful monitor, I recommend disabling Vsync because you get the lowest input lag with nearly the same image quality when it comes to screen tearing.) Note! If you're buying this for an Xbox Series XI, you haven't been able to figure out how to run 1440p 120Hz even after trying different video settings on both the monitor and the Xbox Series X. There may be a workaround or something I'm missing, but I tried almost every option I could find/think of and my Xbox only worked at 1080p at 120hz. For PC this monitor has no issues and is 180hz -Ads are fine!
