I bought two medium sized pet carriers for two cats 20 months ago, one is 10 pounds and the other is 13.5 pounds. I just bought another one for a 12lb stray cat who adopted me. The top door is great for carrying cats that don't want to be in the carrier. I have indoor pet beds, unfortunately it is not easy to find beds/mats of this size. Cat 13.5 was trying to escape from the carrier so I had to secure the carrier with zip ties to keep the carrier from falling apart. I also taped the handles with bike tape to make them easier to carry. They are the perfect size for each of the cats. With zippers and handlebar tape, they are durable and perfect for pet transport. They make vet visits bearable for me and the cats.
