The bracket is not 16" wide so you cannot mount it on studs in the wall without additional wood. I used two pieces of 2x10 running horizontal lags bolted to the studs and carriage bolts on the bracket. This meant I had to drill holes for a larger bracket. Therefore, the installation was not easy. The mount isn't very strong even with a 90lb bag. It flexes a bit with the bag on it and shakes when the bag is hit. None of the welds have broken yet, but I've only had it a few months and I don't expect it to last long.
