Review on πŸ”§ ACDelco MU1751: Genuine GM Fuel Pump & Level Sensor with Seal, Float, and Harness by Adam Tidd

So far so good with fuel pumps and accessories

Installed on 1997 S10 with extended cab side step at 130,000 miles. For some time prior to installation, the engine had a "kick" that felt like a misfire, but no trouble codes, and was usually cold and/or wet. The complete ignition system was exchanged, it got better, but sent back. It should also be noted that the engine runs fairly well with MSD-6A ignition but barely with MSD bypass making it really look like an ignition problem. First I replaced the injection cross with the MPFI update cross. There were signs of a leak from the intake pressure regulator, but the new cross did nothing about the dent. Finally, one day, I got out of the truck and heard the pump whine. Installed it and it works great again. The engine had previously installed a supercharger and FMU (fuel recirculation shut off during boost to pressurize) at around 70,000 miles so the original pump had a long, sometimes harsh, life. The kit includes a new connector, multiple installation instructions based on standard wiring options, and crimp connectors with heat shrink/seal. The float/fuel gauge is a bit more aggressive than my original in the first half of the tank but slows down in the second half of the tank. I'd say the reading might be two gallons lower than the actual reading, which is a good spot.
