Review on Porcelain 6 Piece Ramekin Dishwasher Microwave by Adam Smith

After reading other reviews I had concerns about the capacity of the product up to 18oz but I ordered to do my own evaluation as larger sizes are more difficult to find . I would assume the listed capacity is for the bowl itself and the protruding top represents the splash/spill area which was not calculated when measuring. On the other hand, the capacity isn't as small as some have claimed, but certainly not 18 fl oz. I used the 2 full cup (16 oz) measuring cup and poured into a bowl. The filled level is then consumed upwards to achieve 1/2 leak protection, leaving only about 1/8 inch forgiveness for the steadiest hands when moving the full bowl. True capacity appears to be just under 16 ounces. But the utensils worked well for pot pies and were easy to clean so I'm reasonably happy with the result but agree with others about the wrong size as advertised.
