This is a small pump. The pump itself does not suck. The 3/8" tines on the pump came with o-rings to ensure liquid tightness, which surprised me. It also came with teflon tape which I didn't use because the hardware is removed and cleaned every time. .The pump works very well to move the wort from the mash tun to the kettle, allows you to recirculate the wort back to the top of the grain pod with a diffuser for wort clarification without disturbing your pod. Good pumping speed; fast enough to keep up with the flow in the vat, but not fast enough to disturb the grain bed. Just a note: it might be worth manually recirculating the first 16 ounces of wort, resulting in you having to do this Disconnect hose and clean Not the end of the world, but still a pain point and a lesson learned.
