Works great for fasteners

Love these. They work so well for so many uses. Remember they are metric, but I've had good success using a 7/16" masonry bit.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Cheap junk, poor design

Cheap junk, just buy regular anchors and 3/8 I hooks, these won't fit a 3/8 hole and they're too small for a half inch hole maybe a 7/16 will do, but it's just a really bad design

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • High price

Cheap fasteners with poor design

No instructions, dimensions fit 1/2" hole but they are a bit small. To tighten the nut and secure the bolt, you need to grab the threads. If you overtighten, they will start to slip and you won't have a good grip. Buy a big brand and don't use it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some minor things

Installation information in standoffs

I used a Dewalt DW5234 7/16" carbide hammer drill bit and drilled three inches into the concrete wall and then tapped it with a hammer to ensure a secure fit. You will need to glue the fastener in place the concrete before tightening the screw as it only rotates in the hole. Great product. No complaints!

Works as described

I lost my anchor due to missing instructions. I found it with A 7/16" drill bit and reaming the hole worked a little better. If you're using a hammer to drive the anchor in, use only very light taps. I found I had to remove the anchor and drill a hole. Hole for Sleeve length plus 1/16". I had to hold the bolt with my fingers until the bolt stopped turning and the anchor engaged. Generally everything worked as intended.

Pros
  • Expansion anchor
Cons
  • Expensive

They have a design flaw

Although the screws appear to be well made, there is a design flaw that makes their correct installation very difficult. It is a three-piece bolt that includes a removable eye, a threaded stud with a flared end, and then a bushing that covers the stud so the end of this bushing expands towards the surface of the hole when tightened. The problem we had with the installation is that the sleeve is too short. When the dowel is pulled into the hole, the threaded bolt protrudes further and further…
