Review on Bialetti Kitty Stainless Steel Espresso Coffee Maker: 10 Cup Italian Brew by Logan Tripp

I'm so in love with this pot! We've had a $2,000 Delonghi automatic espresso machine for about 10 years. We are used to espresso and can no longer drink filter coffee. I bought this pot for a multi-week trip so we don't have to buy Starbucks and the like for each person every day. The best purchase I've ever made for a coffee pot. We love how rich and thick it makes the coffee. I guess I can't call it espresso as the correct term for what it does is moka which is pretty close to real espresso. Better than any espresso I've had at Starbucks or our $2000 Delonghi if you ask me. My daughter, who scolded me for buying another kitchen appliance, now has her own stainless steel Bialetti! We use our Delonghi during the week as we all drink coffee at different times, but at the weekend I like to brew our 'weekend special coffee' in this pot and sit back and savor the rich flavor. I love frothing milk and have all kinds of handheld frothers including an electric tabletop frother, not to mention our Delonghi has one built in too. My favorites are by far the ones I buy at Ikea for less than three dollars. It has a tighter, smaller coil that produces nice, dense foam in about 20 seconds. Add freshly brewed moka and you have heaven in a cup. We use Lavazza Rosa, which is said to be the perfect grind for mocha pots. It's slightly larger than Espresso but much smaller than Drip. I would highly recommend this pot to anyone. I was intimidated at first and thought it would be too much work, but it's so easy to use and clean up quickly.
