Review on ๐Ÿš€ Boost Performance with Edelbrock 4790 Throttle Body by Andy Baudoin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Muscle car performance saves Honda

After 130,000 miles my 2000 Acura Integra ECL flashed (code p1022 TPS, low position voltage) and was generally underpowered, with severe engine knock under various loads that felt like a fuel cut . The TPS sensor was faulty and Honda riveted it to the throttle body, so replacing one means both. I can't say I'm happy with this design, but I think it fills Honda's pockets. Until Edelbrock released part #4790. The throttle valve sensor is screwed here. But the best part is faster throttle response, an amazing full throttle sound, the check engine light is gone and the fuel economy is back to the 31mpg highway I was used to a long time ago! (325 miles from a 10.8 gallon tank right out of the box, before that I had about 290 miles on that amount of fuel). And yes, CARB Legal 50-State and comes with a certificate so you can show your SMOG station when they're asked about that shiny new air intake part! . Three of them to be precise: two for the coolant and one for the air hose, and the air hose is a lot worse! The instructions are clear. The part itself is of very good quality and is certainly in no way inferior to the OEM in terms of workmanship and structure. Mine came with slightly imperfect shaping, but nowhere that would cause performance issues. Overall: I'm very glad Edelbrock discovered the Acura Integra and made a quality part that solves more than one intake flow problem the car had. . If I can find the right deal I'd love to have their turbo kit under the hood too! A very happy owner.
