Good kennel at a great price

This is a great kennel for the price ($60 at time of purchase) and really deserves higher reviews. It's not perfect, but nothing I've seen in this price range even comes close in terms of attractiveness, size, or simplicity. It goes together quickly and easily and looks really nice. The plastic is strong and sturdy, but not too thick or heavy, making the assembled house easy to move. It's been a little rough on ours for a few months, but it still looks great. Our 3.5 month old German Shepherd/Labrador mix loves to come into his house to bang his stuffed animals against the walls violently (and very loudly). As you can see from the attached photo, in an emergency, the roof is strong enough to support the weight of a 10 year old girl. My 11.5 year old son and 14 year old daughter kindly confirmed that they can both fit in this house. In fact, I believe a neighbor's child or two were also inside. Apparently the kids are really digging up this house. Our house sits on a brick porch, which helps with stability, so I'd recommend a hard, level surface for this, and a sheltered spot if possible. We haven't had him all winter, but so far, this summer, at least he hasn't turned into an oven, and our pup still comes into his house every now and then, although he's currently in the "I'm free" phase. wild thing and sleeping in the mud.” The only minor complaint I have is that I wish they could put a little canopy over the door to help keep raindrops out. Of course we haven't even tried to attach the supplied door flaps yet because I know our dog will pick them up and eat them right away so I can't fault the manufacturer for that. we have big storms here and without flaps, the rain naturally blows everything into the open door. so if your dog likes and mine can't be trusted with the responsibility of leaving the door panels alone, as a sentient being, prepare to have a plan B in strong winds and rain. In less enthusiastic rains, however, it stays tight and dry with no leaks. Verdict: It's a basic no-frills kennel. Good quality and for the price you can't beat it.
