The dog house was easily assembled by my wife and is perfect for my 13 pound dog. Not sure how a 70 lb dog can sit comfortably but my dog has plenty of room to stretch out! Haven't seen this product in the rain but I think it will probably work very well as it appears to be durable.

Great dog house, fairly easy to assemble, just line up the panels and snap into place. Don't worry it will be a little flimsy when you first unpack it, once assembled it has sufficient structural integrity. Our 45 pound dog loves it and has plenty of space. And not a drop of water in it when we hosed it down. The roof is removable (you'll get over it in time) for cleaning and stacking the duvet.

This is for two feral cats who adopted me. I keep it in my garden shed (a converted detached garage) here in Ohio because of the harsh winter weather. The size is big enough for plenty of straw to make it a cozy place for them to snuggle up. I'll cut a hole in your back to escape. Assembled in under 15 minutes - very clear instructions. Plastic makes spring cleaning so easy: detach the straw from the straw, wash with warm, soapy water, and rinse with a hose.
