The collapsible design is a great idea, but poorly executed. The design allows the trunk to be opened more than 90 degrees, allowing the bike arm to slide and stretch after bottom sloped is rubber mount we got it working for our ride by really going overboard by tying the bikes together and tying them to a ladder both bikes ended up with some rub marks plus I had to hang around the Cleaning taillights on my Class A 99 Winnebago made it almost to the top of the stairs which meant I had to climb onto the bumper to strap the bikes on whilst my son picked them up and onto the rack definitely a bigger problem than me thought. Would sell a luggage rack and buy instead.
