Short term or light use only

We bought this to carry 2 adult mountain bikes in the back of our RV. We tend to leave our bikes on the shelf when not in use. When I went to take pictures the other day, I noticed how worn out the rubber bands were. I really liked the bike rack at first, but it's no longer suitable for us. Maybe take a risk if he only keeps beach chairs or kids bikes. Or if you only take your bikes with you on short trips. We have about 10 months of use.

Broken Luggage Rack - RV Parts & Accessories

Very disappointed with this Camco stand. I have purchased several Camco products for our RV and this is the worst. I needed a better way to transport our kids bikes, one is a girls 24" Murray and the other is a 26" Cannondale which probably weighs half the Murray. After only 3 short rides the struts buckled down heavily which also caused the ladder on our 5th bike to buckle. In addition to the tubes crushing the bike rack, it also lost its structural integrity. I missed the return window with…

DO NOT BUY DISASTER

I regret buying this bike rack. It was attached to the back of our van and was meant to hold two kids bikes. We were nervous from the start that it wouldn't last, we had to follow that instinct. Instead we used bungee cords to add more reinforcement. Luckily we at least made it, because otherwise our daughter's bike could have caused a serious accident on the motorway. The bike rack failed and buckled under the weight. The clasps came loose, the straps broke, and the ONLY thing that helped the…

Disappointed :-(: RV parts and accessories

The collapsible design is a great idea, but poorly executed. The design allows the trunk to be opened more than 90 degrees, allowing the bike arm to slide and stretch after bottom sloped is rubber mount we got it working for our ride by really going overboard by tying the bikes together and tying them to a ladder both bikes ended up with some rub marks plus I had to hang around the Cleaning taillights on my Class A 99 Winnebago made it almost to the top of the stairs which meant I had to climb…

DANGEROUS! the best in furniture details and fittings

DANGER! Despite installing according to the instructions, despite adding extra straps, we almost lost both bikes. Aside from the cost we incurred, bikes falling off this stand on the freeway could KILL SOMEONE! The rubber saddles holding the bikes had almost completely slipped off the rack. One bike dangled completely, the other kept up. They were held only by my extra straps. Loose bikes scratched my camper and again could seriously injure or kill someone on the freeway. Luckily we stopped an…

4500 miles and not a single problem

Did 4500 miles with two heavy bikes in the back (I'm sure I've exceeded the weight limit) without a single problem. Yes, as some of the reviewers have said, the arms tilt down when the bikes are on, but the rubber straps keep them secure. Rubber braces and their straps slide down under weight and impact, so do yourself a favor and mark the areas where the braces should be so you can reattach them. I also used the two straps provided to secure the bikes to the top steps in case he let go of the…

Pooh. NO guard! on Interior

Ugh. The only reason I give this bike rack 2 stars is the extra straps that come with it! We made our way from Massachusetts to New Jersey, a 3 hour drive, with our two bikes tied to the ladder of our RV. When we first checked the bikes, the rack was already leaning down and our bikes were inches from falling off completely (by the time we got to New Jersey)! Luckily my husband used zip ties to secure the bikes just for extra security. which turned out to be the only thing keeping the bikes…
