I remember my mother and grandmother had the same timers for years. To me, and this is just my personal opinion, that miserable kitchen timer embodies everything that is wrong with the US, and that's why we're a service country, not a manufacturing country. Our unions demanded and eventually put themselves out of business. CEOs and senior management grab every penny of profit they can squeeze and keep it all to themselves. We have crying babies in our schools who cannot read, spell or do basic mental arithmetic. But I digress. This timer isn't worth a penny.
