Review on Lace Crochet Motifs Traditional Contemporary by Jennifer Roberts

The crochet refresher course at the beginning of the book gives you everything you need. The flora and fauna motifs are very popular and the author also adds many patterns in circles, squares and hexagons. Find 5-6 designs in each of these categories: Wildlife, Sea Life, Fruits & Vegetables, Sun/Moon/Stars, Special Occasions, 2 Hobbies, 3 Snowflakes, 4 Hearts and a few Small Napkin Samples. In addition to the written diagrams, there are life size diagrams and drawings for each motif and the size and number of threads required for each. Knitters will appreciate that the table of contents lists each motif by difficulty: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Of course, the patterns can be adjusted for yarns with larger hooks, but no guidelines are given. The only disappointment is the Projects section, which simply shows images of designs on collars, dresses, bags, etc.
