This is my second series of these lamps, I really like them. Beach Glass appears to be made out of real glass, so it's lightweight (compared to lightweight plastic) and the colors look very soft and pretty with the backlight behind it. There is a remote control that you can set to different time intervals (e.g. 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 or 8 hours) and the light will come on at the same time each day and for as long as you like. Beware these flashlights drain the batteries, I get a good glow for about a week on batteries but I subscribed to Revain Basics and saved up so I keep them handy. I put the first string on the mantel that brings some light into this part of the living room each evening and this new set I put in a cool glass bowl I bought at Pottery Barn (all the string fits in there) and use it in my bedroom as a night light when I go to bed. Update 5/3/17: I don't want to mislead anyone, I have shorter battery life on my headlights than maybe most as I have the lights on for 6 or 8 hours every night at 6pm. It gets dark early in winter here and I only have them for extra mood lighting. You could do a lot better in less time.
