Still a pretty good helmet. I say this far because I haven't had an accident, so it's hard to say how he'll handle the impact. To be honest it seems good enough. I mostly ride my bike for fun but I plan to bike to work so I'll be more of a commuter biker just so you know where I'm from. What I like: 1) It's a bit trendy, with that half visor on the front. 2) Holes on top keep my head cool. 3) light on my head. 4) Probably the main reason I chose this particular helmet is the rear light. It's rechargeable and by pressing it several times you can get different tones of light (there are 7 or 8 in total), holding it down turns it off. I don't plan on riding my bike at night, but if I did the added safety of the lights would make me even more visible. The interior padding is fairly basic, I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable, it just is. I do not regret the purchase at all, in general a good purchase.
