How nice! Here you can buy a genuine Swingline paper cutter that will never disappoint you by tearing off one side 1/2 of a side and folding the other half. I mean - you couldn't find such a good deal in a trash can! I wanted to love it so I gave it two chances. Swapped the first one to make sure it was a fluke and Swingline wasn't spitting out some crap. Well they do. It will only rip/destroy your paper no matter the amount or thickness. The blade is SHARP, the ruler is held tight, but guillotine alignment is far away. I bought a $12 paper cutter to fix the damage this thing had left. Not only did it surpass it in all aspects of cost, but also in terms of functionality, portability and aesthetics. Honestly, it will NOT cut paper. It shreds paper, and if you want it, buy it. Personally, I'd rather tear something in half with my hands - and that's not a pleasant tear, but more of an annoying annoyance, like someone scratching a blackboard with their fingernails.
