Hi everyone! I have a 2 year old 65 pound German Wirehaired Pointer with TONS of energy. However, I am not afraid that this line will break. If you are looking for someone to advise you to buy this leash without reading the rest of the review, yes buy it. You will not regret it! If you want to know more about it, please read on. I do a lot with horses and am quite picky about leather goods. I'm not sure if I have any negative points in this leash. The skin is comfortable and thick, the braid is strong, the length is excellent, the color is pleasant, the skin itself is not hard, but smooth and oily. The dog had dunked this item in the pool a few times and I was concerned that the leather would become brittle/tough. I oiled it and bam like new. The clasp is a very good size and strong. This is not a very heavy leash. A nice feature that I'm sure wasn't intentional, but the braided portion provides a very comfortable grip when I need to get the dog very close. Also, I can drop that leash and my pup is big enough that he doesn't drag on the ground, so it's good that I've already connected to him if I need to grab him quickly. All in all a great purchase that I don't regret. Thanks very much!
