Chlorine generator repair. Works great but you must have a large 100w soldering iron or more.

update from 12/15. My fix lasted a season. Suppose the condition that caused the part to fail the first time still exists. This time I will throw the money into a new board. However, I have no regrets about buying this part and applying the fix. Original Review: Like others, I used this to repair my Aquarite chlorine generator. In fact, the soldering iron takes a lot of energy to remove the old part. The part is soldered into the radiator, which the iron cannot cope with. I ended up using a 100 watt Weller type iron to melt and suck up a lot of the solder on the original circuit board. As others have documented here and on YouTube, it can take 45 minutes or more to clean up the old part. Take the pieces one by one so as not to damage the board. Soldering a new part was easy and quick. The LEDs are back and the chlorine production works great. That and the soldering iron are $150 less than buying a new board, and I won a new iron on the deal.
