Was looking for a dry mattifying product for my hair as my regular product was out of stock. My hairstyle looks like a spiky matte natural look. Spread in the hand it is quite thick, has a slight odor, but the more you rub it in your hand, the more a very warm feeling begins to develop. I would say that this product is not entirely matte with a slight sheen. Retention is average. What I did notice is that it has an oily feel, which was confirmed when I tried washing it off my hands with just water and found it very difficult to get it off. You probably wash your butt pain out of your hair without much shampoo. Not my type of product, decent at best.
