I switched to using these from using Ward and Anvil fittings (black iron pipe) and found these nearly impossible to tighten-- with two pipe wrenches, no less. The threading is junk-- not sure if it is tapered too much, not long enough, or both. I finally got my thing put together. These will NOT be suitable for plumbing purposes. (I'm using them to build some industrial lighting fixtures, so they don't need to carry natural gas, but they still need to hold up to pretty serious use and that is seems dubious at this point).
