I have a Cuisinart CPC-600 electric pressure cooker. I wanted more versatility so I looked into steam inserts and racks. Found this set and decided to give it a try. It fits perfectly in my pressure cooker and the original non-stick pan. The stand is 8 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" in height. The basket is 7 5/8" in diameter at the bottom and 8 1/2" at the top. It is 2 inches tall and has two folding handles. The handles can be easily removed for cooking or cleaning if required. I have used this set many times since purchasing it and have found it more useful than I imagined. Potatoes pressure steamed in a basket are much better than pressure cooking them in liquid! If you have a pressure cooker like mine and are concerned about damaging the non-stick coating, I recommend getting a 6 quart 18/10 stainless steel pressure cooker. It goes very well with this grate and steamer basket set.
