Review on Soraken Floating Shelves: Rustic Wood Wall Storage for Kitchen and Bathroom - Set of 2 with Removable Towel Holder in Vintage Black by Jacob Rasmussen

Looks good but difficult to assemble

At first it looks good: it's really good, although the materials and quality are a bit cheap. After that, it all depends on what tools you have and what you want to do for several reasons. First, oddly enough, the shelves don't have pre-drilled holes for a towel rail. So you either have to drive the screws right into the wood and hope for the best, or drill some pilot holes and risk going through the wood. I didn't want that, so I put the towel rail on the wall separately, as can be seen in the picture. Second, the screw holes are awkwardly located between the U's on the metal. This makes it such that you either need a very thin screwdriver or a long one to avoid having to angle it. I had a long screwdriver as you can see and I still had to go in at a slight angle. Although it helped that I pre-drilled a few pilot holes in the wall. One thing that may make things easier is to separate the wood from the metal when screwing it to the wall, but I figured that would take too long. In general they work and are not bad. But furniture always costs a little more than other things: so you get what you pay for.

Cons
