Love the design and easy installation. However, the instructions were missing. They provided anchors but did not specify the size of the drill. The anchors were very loose once installed and it seemed like if you put weight on the shelves it would pull them out and the entire shelf would fall to the floor. I had to find various anchors in a large store that worked very well.

The wood is very beautiful and the frame is strong. The included anchors are awful, I would recommend tossing them and the included screws and getting something that isn't as soft as Philips screw lead. Then be prepared to be frustrated because your screwdriver or drill is not long enough to drive in the mounting screw due to its position on the bracket. I had to use a hand wrench with Philips longest bit to get to the mounting screws. The only reason I didn't return them was because I invested

I'm disappointed in these floating shelves. I was looking in the kitchen for hanging shelves for my paperback cookbooks and thought they would fit. There are several problems with these shelves. At first it looks good: it's really good, although the materials and quality are a bit cheap. After that, it all depends on what tools you have and what you want to do for several reasons. First, oddly enough, the shelves don't have pre-drilled holes for a towel rail. So you either have to drive the screws right into the wood and hope for the best, or drill some pilot holes and risk going through the wood. Nothing good to say about these shelves, so many extra holes in the walls! The installation instructions are incorrect, there are no pre-drilled holes for the towel rail. When I pre-drilled the holes myself, I found that this wood is SO SOFT and no pre-drilling is really required. Just thread the screw into the wood, which of course means you have to be VERY careful not to damage the hole. There was no information on what size hole to drill for the anchors.
