I teach third grade. I bought this because of its ability to sharpen crayons and its ability to stop when the pencil is sharpened. I installed it this morning, sharpened a pencil and loved it. I sharpened or tried a second pencil but the lead got stuck and I had to fiddle with it all day to get it out. When I got it working again, we were all ecstatic. We managed to sharpen a few pencils and they got stuck again. I pulled it off and it kept stopping before the pencil was sharpened. It just had a blunt, clipped tip. Then another jam and another, and maybe it's overheated because it just stopped working. I would say we didn't even make it through 20 pencils in 15 minutes before saying I would send it back. I'll just buy some hand sharpeners for us.
