I have an older MacBook and was a little unsure if this model of security cable would fit my laptop, but I have used the Kensington 64069F MicroSaver Notebook Lock and Security Cable with success on my travels around Europe . I previously bought a laptop lock and security cable with combination lock at a hardware store and took it with me on an international trip. I was horrified because the combination lock in Hungary would mysteriously reset to a new combination when locked on the steam outlet. Luckily the fellow passenger had the presence of mind to figure out that a whole number had slipped through the combination. I couldn't imagine finding the right locksmith or tools to unlock my computer. I was even more stunned when I returned to the US and found out online that this wasn't a unique problem with these combination locks. To be honest, I don't think Kensington made the lock. However, I caution against using combination locks, so I settled on a Kensington 64069F MicroSaver laptop lock and a keyed security cable.
