bought these over a week ago and used them on the roof of my building. It sounds very scary, but it's easier to watch the birds and generally explore them (without looking into other people's rooms, of course). The distance isn't crazy, but it's definitely noticeable. I would say I was surprised it couldn't go that far considering how big they are but still great value for money.
