Update 04/09/2020: Unfortunately I have bad news for you. Two weeks later, the first collar (vibration) stopped working, even after replacing it with new batteries. The second collar quickly followed. They still squeaked but didn't vibrate for long. I am returning the original set and the new unopened second set that I purchased. The sad thing is that initially they worked, and they worked well. Tried new batteries and even the batteries that came with it and they just stopped working. They just squeaked which my dogs don't care. This vibration has done its job. So these bark collars are not durable. If anyone reading this finds a dog collar that works for a long time and is suitable for small dogs weighing 5 to 7 pounds, please comment below. Original Review: I tried bark collars. to two constantly barking dogs for a week. So far they work great for a dog, maybe too well now that he's running and hiding. So I won't put it on her unless she barks, to teach her that barking will make her wear something she hates. This tactic appears to be working. She is a 7 pound Chihuahua. Another dog, a 6-pound Yorkshire, continues to test her but holds back from barking. She's either super smart or super stubborn or both. The device is quite big for them. I have two other collars to try on two other smaller 5 pound Chihuahuas. One of them is having seizures, she's barking and I need her to keep calm and I'm sure that will help, but at the same time I'm wondering if this will stress her out and cause her to have a seizure. That's why I'm hesitant to try her at the moment. The other Chihuahua is such a loner, I don't want her to get any worse. She is barked along when the couriers show up or my husband comes home. Four of them can make a real noise and go mad, showing a herd mentality. I have two extra collars for situations when I absolutely need them all to be quiet, e.g. B. when a guest has arrived, when we are evacuated by a hurricane and staying at a pet friendly hotel (I don't want to go to the hotel has changed my mind). I have to try to figure out how to keep the ends from tearing. I wouldn't let them with unsupervised dogs. When I leave, the collars will be removed. I love that they work without having to shock my dogs. The vibration is really good and they don't like it but I know it doesn't hurt them. I hope they come out with a smaller device for small dogs like mine in the future. I'm sure technology is moving in that direction. At the moment I recommend this brand of bark collars. If anything changes I will update. (I will indeed update if anything changes.)
