Excellent multipurpose foam

I don't know what people usually use this for but I bought this to fit on the outside of the vent covers that go underground to keep cold air out in the winter. . I didn't use the glue part because I wanted to take them off every year, but the glue seemed very strong when I cut it to size. I liked the black color as the vents are visible from the street. The end result looked very professional. I found it a bit difficult to cut. I've tried scissors and a utility knife. The knife worked much better! The paper backing peeled off in cold weather, but that didn't matter for my application.
