This two-stage filter removes chloramine odor and taste from Los Angeles County water. You don't need to manually filter the water to make coffee or cook food. It was professionally installed by a plumber with copper tubing, bypass valves, etc. 700 dollars. there has been a taste of metallic solder coming out of new nozzles for a few weeks now, but that's not the filter's fault and now it's gone. there was a problem with a drain valve leak. Unscrew the blue canister and tighten it from the inside with a screwdriver. It didn't seem to do anything so I contacted customer service and they quickly sent me some replacement valves. In the end I didn't need them - I pushed the valve up and down a few dozen times and checked after a few days and the slow dripping stopped. The system doesn't make city water taste like mountain spring water, but it's a HUGE improvement on how water tasted before. No more smell of chlorine! It's a great system at a reasonable price. two thumbs up! :)
