This product comes with very complicated instructions. I went online to YouTube and found a very simple instructional video. After watching the video, the installation took 2 minutes each side. Here's the quick guide: Simply lift the clip holding the block at each end of the strut to be removed (flat clips are built into each side of the block where it attaches to the hood), the strut is easy to remove, when the clip is released and you can remove it. Replace your old rack with a new one by simply snapping each end into place. (You may want to add some grease to the ball joint you are attaching it to. Installation only requires a small flat head screwdriver. If you need more then you haven't watched the video.
