Review on 🌑️ Extech RHT3 EzSmart Hygro-Thermometer: Advanced Monitoring and Data Analysis for Optimal Conditions by Jaime Miranda

It's a bit oversold

I think it's oversold - reading the ad copy makes some claims about leak detection and such, but it's too simple a tool for the job. This is a hygrometer. It will show you the relative humidity as well as a few calculations, but that's about it. For continuous monitoring in the humidor this would be fine if not too much. But in general, that's all. Used for what it is, I have no complaints. I will say that I don't usually trust prepackaged hygrometer calibrations, although calibrating this one is a bit of a hassle as it needs to be plugged into the device to work. So not leaving it in an environment of known humidity for a few hours (or days) is a bad start. Responsiveness to changes isn't bad, but it's not great either - about the same as expected. If your phone (iPhone X in this case) doesn't have a headphone jack, an adapter is required. The app is simple and doesn't present information in a simple and focused way, but then again. The data analyzed here is not that extensive. This is not a miracle device. This gives you a second data point (or the first) if you want to measure local humidity. No more and no less. Good for what it is, but between price and promise I'm not in seventh heaven with it.
