Great solid cabinet but a few comments

Well made solid cabinet. Good design features that give it strength, especially the cross members of the shelves. It's tall enough vertically and wide enough for my use; However, the shelf is only 9" deep. For my purposes, a little more depth would suit my "grand scheme" of storing items. Only reason for a star deduction. Some notes on assembly and installation. Follow the instructions, especially the first few steps of attaching the side and back panels to the base - once they snap into place, you're in. The top mounting holes on the back are 16 inches; holes spaced 19 7/8 inches apart; I think the idea is that the top screws hold the cabinet to the wall; lower for horizontal stability. I decided to drill holes 16" apart for the bottom screws. Speaking of drilling holes, the back panel is one piece, you will need to drill existing holes. The screw washers are only 3/4" in diameter, seem a little narrow for the load To be one that the cabinet can handle, although the wall thickness "seems" adequate, I decided to run a 1" x 1" board along the bottom so the cabinet could rest on it. The added benefit is that you can place the cabinet on this plate when assembling and install it yourself. Otherwise it is a two-person task. Another tidbit, one shelf is vertically centered - 13" usable height, non-adjustable, just one shelf bar.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
