Folks: If you've used them before, you've already liked the Ziploc product. While not a "freezer version" I still find them strong enough to withstand heavy use in freezers and they prevent freezing/burning or frozen taste as well as heavier freezer bags. I use them for two main reasons: 1. To store the meat and seafood that I buy in bulk, separate them, add spices, and then store them in the freezer until ready to thaw and cook. Packages aren't easily punctured (unless there's a sharp bone, etc.) and I've never had a problem with the fridge leaking when it's thawing. Because the seal is very secure, once the meat is thawed, you can shake the bag and press down to coat the entire contents with the marinade and spices. This bag is the perfect size to fit all of my small personal air travel items (deodorant, saline, medication, razor, etc.) in one bag and all of my electronics and accessories in another. They're easy to place on scanned bags so security can easily see what's inside, and it's also easy to take a bag with everything I need on a plane instead of having to search for all my carry-on luggage. .Pretty much this size and quart size meets all my storage needs.
